Teach English in Japan

About Japan

Island country: the five main islands are Hokkaido, Honshu (the "mainland"), Shikoku, Kyushu, and Okinawa. Tokyo is the nation's capital and largest city; other major cities include Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Kobe, and Kyoto.

Balance between old and new!

Very big cities: fashion, fun, fast but also incredible landscapes, hikes etc

Teachers tend to know a lot about Japan- very hipster at the moment (Nintendo, anime, manga)

Went from 14th ESL level in the world to 54th in2019- huge push by government to introduce English

Why Teach in Japan

  • Spend 1 year or more immersing yourself in and exploring the extraordinary
  • Japanese culture, food, architecture, and scenery whilst earning $1575 – $1900 USD* (215,000 to 260,000 Yen) per month as an English teacher – making this our highest paying Teach Abroad program yet. * May fluctuate due to exchange rate volatility.
  • Play an active part in contributing to the Japanese government’s goal of improving the English proficiency throughout the country, which opens up a vast array of academic and employment opportunities for our evergrowing globalized world.
  • Teaching in Japan is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to live in a developed Asian country, rich in history, while gaining incredibly valuable international work experience and growing on a personal level.
  • Save $2500 to $5,000 over a year of teaching which you can use to fund your travels or return home with (while you can save more if you budget more carefully and live like a local).
  • Enjoy 5 to 10 paid days off per year to explore this fascinating country.

* Please take note that the amount reflected is based on exchange rates and may fluctuate due to exchange rate volatility and is the equivalent of 215,000 Yen to 275,000 Yen.

Benefits
