Nine weeks working at camp, 30 days travelling, one epic summer. An All-American tradition, between June and August each year over a million children and teenagers attend summer camps in America for 1-8 weeks. From coast to coast, Camp Directors hire likeminded 18-30-years-olds from all over the world to work as Camp Counsellors and Activity Specialists.

· Aged between 18-30-years-old.

· Able to fly out to the USA before the 20th June during year of participation.

· Able to commit to the whole camp season, running for nine weeks 

between June and August.

· Be confident working with children from 6-16-years-old. 

· Be a fluent English speaker and have no criminal history. 

· Have had some previous experience working with children.

· No criminal record

· No medical conditions

· Must have funds to travel

Ceramics, Archery, Horse Riding, Sailing, Scuba, Life guarding, Mountain Biking, Canoeing, Gymnastics, Metal work, Wood work, Rock climbing, Ropes course, Tennis, Windsurfing, Wake Boarding, Drama, Choreography, Dance, Special needs (work with adults/children) 

• Pre-arranged job placement at a summer camp in America.
• A final summer camp salary of USD $2 250 (+/- R39 000).
• All food and accommodation whilst at summer camp.
• Entry to Covid-safe Summer Camp USA job fair.
• Pre-departure orientation day to prepare you for camp life.
• One-on-one support securing your visas and interviews.
• Flight booking assistance
• 24/7 help on the ground from our partners in the USA.
• Medical insurance during your camp placement.
• Your SEVIS US Government fee worth USD $35.

1ST Time applicant going to camp: Your Program fees:  R9 000– PAYABLE IN 3 PART PAYMENTS AND NOT UPFRONT

• Registration: R1 500 ( to secure your spot and get started with an application)
• Interview: R 4 000 ( payable upon confirmation of interview date with our partner agency abroad)
• Placement fee: R3 500 (payable upon acceptance of a summer camp counselor job offer with camp)

Returnee costs payable upfront: R8 000  (For candidates who have participated in camp and are applying again)

• Registration: R1500 ( to secure your spot and get started with an application)
• Interview: R3 500 ( payable upon confirmation of interview date with our partner agency abroad)
• Placement fee: R3 000 (payable upon acceptance of a summer camp counselor job offer with camp)

*****If you did not book with Genesis Au Pairs in 2024, you will be charged and additional $150 on the above price.******

Outside/Additional costs applicable:  

• Visa  $185 (+/- R3 600.00) – (Visa application assistance provided)
• Medical +/-R400
• Police clearance +/-R250 (can be done at Postnet or Nevetec - 24/48 hour electronic clearance)
• Return Flights – we can assist with sourcing cheap flights.
