Founded in 2021; Genesis Au Pairs is a South African-based international recruitment and cultural exchange agency dedicated to placing young adults in life-changing opportunities abroad. We specialise in Au Pair and teaching programmes that allow participants to gain global exposure, develop professionally, and grow personally while serving families, schools, and communities around the world. Driven by integrity, faith-based values, and excellence, Genesis Au Pairs is committed to guiding candidates from their first enquiry through to successful placement and beyond. Our Founder/CEO is a proud past Au pair who has been to USA, Europe and has over 19 years of changing lives on cultural exchange programs. She is also the winner of KZN Small Business Woman of the Year North Coast KZN 2025.

Au Pair Programmes

Participants live with host families, provide childcare support, and experience daily life in a new culture while earning a stipend, receiving accommodation, and gaining international experience.

Teaching Programmes:

These programmes offer an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through education while exploring vibrant cultures abroad.

Summer Camp USA

A short term (3-4 months) work program in USA involving working with kids in sports and recreation.

Genesis Au pairs was born in May 2021 to aid young men and women in making their travel dreams a reality. With more than 10 years of recruitment experience and having been an Au pair in USA myself; starting up a company that makes dreams come true was inevitable.

Becoming an Au pair was a life changing experience for me - I got to travel through America, meet many famous celebrities, gain lasting friendships with Au pairs from around the world, view historic sites, learn about different cultures and most importantly I have gained 2 American host families that I am still in touch with to this very day. After that adventure I travelled through Europe and have seen many beautiful countries. From being a shy introverted person to becoming an outspoken, bubbly and challenge accepting person is something I never thought I would be. Thanks to a cultural exchange program my life was changed and this and the many wonderful stories from my previous clients is what inspired me to start up my own agency.

I encourage every young person to travel at least once in their life-it will open you up to endless possibilities and you will discover things about yourself that you didn’t even know. It is a scary experience to travel abroad but please rest assured that you will have all the support that you need whilst in South Africa and when you are abroad. I know the feeling all too well and can easily relate to any situation you might face abroad or any challenge you may have during your application process. Since 2012 I have assisted many young men and woman to go abroad and they all have amazing stories to tell from their adventures. Some have even found new lives abroad and are thriving.
