3in1 Au Pair Program - Germany/Austria/Switzerland

As an au pair you get the unique chance to develop personally (everything from personal responsibility to decision-making is included), Immerse yourself in a new culture (during the stay with the host family, an au pair gets to know everything up close - from how to celebrate Christmas and Easter to what is traditionally cooked for lunch), to make many new acquaintances from all over the world, Improve foreign language skills (from the daily use of the foreign language in the host family to an official language course - you will notice how the level of your language skills improves from month to month) and of course travel (from excursions in the area to vacation with the family - adventure is waiting for you).

• Aged between 18 and 25 years 
• Completed your secondary education (matric certificate / school leavers certificate) 
• Proficient in the English language
• You will be required to take an au pair training and language course with our placement partner agency at a separate cost
• Single with no dependents (never been married/divorced) 
• In good health, physically fit and no current or prior mental conditions or taking any chronic medication
• A valid passport to travel internationally 
• A police clearance certificate (original and copy translated to German, certified and Apostille)
• A minimum of 2 child-care references from non-relatives
• Character reference from a non-relative
• Unabridged birth certificate (original and copy translated to German, certified and apostille)
• Commitment to a full year (12 months) au pairing in Austria/Germany/Switzerland
• Open to all countries (subject to acceptance from international partner)

• Recruitment, screening & selecting of host families (Your application will be put forward in all 3 countries – Germany/Austria/Switzerland)      
• You will earn according to the country you are matched for 
• Accommodation and meals provided by the host family – you will have your own furnished bedroom in host family’s home. 
• Assistance with scheduling your visa appointment
• Assistance with finding cheapest flights for you via reputable travel agencies we work with should you be required to purchase a flight

Costs Involved -Agency Program fee payable to Genesis Au Pairs

• Registration fee: R1000.00
• Application acceptance fee : R3000
• Placement   fee R6 000.00

Outside costs involved:

• Consular Visa fees
• Medical examination – you are required to have a medical doctor complete your medical      certificate and stamp the form to confirm that you have no medical conditions or contagious diseases. You will be advised when to complete this – after you pass the language course
• Police clearance - +/- R350 – 48-hour electronic clearance can be done at a NEVTEC agent closest to you. (Original and copy translated to German, certified, apostille) – You will be advised when to complete this - after you pass the language      course
• Unabridged Birth certificate – Apply at your local office if you do not have one. (Original and copy translated to German, certified, Apostille)
• Flights if applicable
• Language course contribution if applicable

• You will be required to complete a COMPULSORY Au pair and childcare basics AND * A German Language Course offered through partner agency’s platform and zoom face to face trainings at a cost of 300 Euros which is payable to the partner agency abroad – This fee is for the AuPair Training handbook and the German Language Course per A1.1/ A1.2,/B1.1/ B1.2 /B21/ B2.2 /C1.1 and C.2. This fee is essential for ensuring candidate readiness, covering the significant administrative and operational costs associated with placing non-European candidates, and providing access to our professional training      curriculum. This fee is non –refundable and is paid directly to the placement agency upon acceptance of application.
