• English Teachers in Thailand earn generous salaries of $800 – $1300 USD* per month (30,000 to 45,000 Thai baht) and live comfortably because of the low cost of living. Our teach English in Thailand program offers travelers the opportunity to save up some money and then travel extensively around Thailand and its neighboring countries.

• Most teachers save a third of their salary which is more than enough to travel internationally but you won’t be bringing back loads of savings due to all the awesome travel adventures you’ll experience!
• You’ll get 16 official public holidays, as well as 2 and a half months of school holidays plus weekends off!
• Our teach English in Thailand Placements are for 1 semester (4 to 5 months) or for 1 year and can be renewed if you’d like to stay and continue to teach English in Thailand for more than a year.
• Placements are flexible so if you’re looking to spend a shorter or longer time, chat with us and we’ll advise all the options.

• 1 year contract or shorter / 4-5 month semester contracts
• Mostly public schools/Fancy private schools
• Loads of holidays- almost 60 days off (but unpaid)

•  You don’t need to have any teaching experience to teach English in Thailand 
• A passport from the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand
• A university bachelor’s degree in any field
• A 120-hour, internationally accredited TEFL/TESOL certificate or equivalent qualification -   TEFL Certificates from the following institutes are not accepted: Teacher Record/World TESOL Academy/TEFL Universal/International Open Academy/Teach TEFL 
• Between 20 and 45 years of age
• Passport 
• No criminal record
• No medical conditions
• Native English Speaker

• Registration fee - R6 000.00 (If you are successful at screening stage and are accepted to apply for the position, you will be liable to pay the registration fee to Genesis Au Pairs)

Placement fees: Due 12 weeks prior to departure

• In-class TESOL and Placement option: $2200 (+/- R41 140.00) - Includes Accommodation Costs During the Orientation week and course (For a shared occupation and not single occupancy)
• Placement only option: $1300 (+/- R24 310.00) - Includes Accommodation Costs During the Orientation week (For a shared occupation and not single occupancy)
• ***Cancelation fees apply if you cancel at any stage of the application***

You are also liable for other outside costs such as flights, visa, insurance, meals, travelling etc. You will be advised on what you should budget for and assisted in these areas by our placement partner agency once you have been offered a teaching placement.
