Vietnam is an incredibly beautiful country which is easy to travel around and perfectly situated for traveling to other countries all over Asia.

If you are teaching for short contracts, you won’t get a lot of time off during your contract but you’ll be able to travel after you finish teaching.

If you are teaching for 1 year, you should get up to 3 weeks leave as well as the holiday over Vietnamese New Year which will be 1 to 2 weeks. This gives you plenty of time to explore Vietnam and the surrounding countries.

Weekend getaways from the major cities are cheap, feasible and easy to plan.

You don’t need to have any teaching experience to teach English in Vietnam.

           You do need:

• A passport from the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand
• A bachelor’s degree in any field
• A 120-hour, in-class internationally accredited TESOL certificate or equivalent qualification (we provide this as part of the program). Certificates from the following institutes are not accepted:

• Registration fee - R6 000.00 (If you are successful at screening stage and are accepted to apply for the position, you will be liable to pay the registration fee to Genesis Au Pairs)

Placement fees: Due 12 weeks prior to departure

• In-class TESOL and Placement option: $2,300 (+/- R43 010.00) - Includes Accommodation Costs During the Orientation week and course (For a shared occupation and not single occupancy)
• Placement only option: $1,300 (+/- R24 310.00) - Includes Accommodation Costs During the Orientation week (For a shared occupation and not single occupancy)
• ***Cancelation fees apply if you cancel at any stage of the application***

You are also liable for other outside costs such as flights, visa, insurance, meals, travelling etc. You will be advised on what you should budget for and assisted in these areas by our placement partner agency once you have been offered a teaching placement.
